Several SPEAC experts joined the BeCOME Conference at Les Pensières Center for Global Health in Annecy, France from June 11 - 13, 2023.

The SPEAC team met with CEPI’s Clinical Development Team in London the week of June 12, 2023, to discuss progress and strategies to build safety into every step of CEPI’s approach to vaccine development.

SPEAC held a webinar on April 24th, 2023, on the use of background rates for observed/expected analysis. The event gathered 250 attendees from various organizations in over 60 countries worldwide

The 4th edition of the DSMB Training Course started in March 2023 with 16 participants from various African countries who will undergo a two-month program designed to support the training of professionals who would have the competence to serve on Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMB).

CEPI, BC and TFGH announced the expansion of the SPEAC a partnership contributing to the safety of future vaccines to prevent and respond to pandemics.
